Roller Coaster
Challenge Day 12—A rollercoaster that made you sick.
Boomerang at Worlds
of Fun
Boomerang is a 12-story tall steel rollercoaster that shoots the riders forwards and backwards through a sickening series of corkscrew turns and upside down loops. Clones of this are all over the place, so it's likely everyone reading this has at least seen one of these. Just looking at them makes me sick. The hapless rider flies upside down three times forward and then three times backward in these rough, tight inversions, making him sick in under two minutes. Ick.
The only other roller coasters that have ever made me sick are: Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm, Head Spin at Geauga Lake (both clones of this), and Iron Dragon at Cedar Point.
Psalm 41:3 The Lord will
sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You restore him to health.
I think most people who have
the tendency to get sick on this coaster blame it most on the backwards
loops. We should be moving forward. Leave the past in the past. Don’t allow those hurts to cause bitterness
or give you a license for making excuses. Move on. Be forgiving and excited
about what the Lord has next for you. Take the Lord’s hand and move forward.
